Reinforcement tapes for
corrugated cardboard cartons

Emport manufactures and sells tape products used in the corrugated cardboard industry. The current product range includes Emport Carton Tape reinforcement tapes. The future range will also include tear tapes.

Emport Carton Tape is a very thin and strong synthetic, flat string tape that has a thin layer of EVA-based hot melt adhesive on the surface. The purpose of the tape is to reinforce the structure of the corrugated cardboard used to make cartons. Reinforcement would typically be needed for carry handles or the edges of the cartons. During the manufacturing process, Emport Carton Tape is fed under the outer surface of the corrugated cardboard by means of a corrugated cardboard machine where, under the effect of the process heat, it adheres tightly between the layers.

Emport Carton Tape is available for use with different hot melt softening points. There is also a choice of widths. Consequently the right kind of tape can be found in the range for each application and process heat. Emport Carton Tape is packed on 10 000 m length spools that fit the majority of tape dispensers. The spools are delivered on pallets of 27.
